홍콩증시, 항셍지수 테크 부문 리밸런싱
항셍지수(HSI)는 최근 단행된 지수 구성 종목 및 기술 부문 리밸런싱(지수에 새로 들어오거나 나가는 기업들 때문에 주식시장에서 대규모 자금이 이동하면서 주가가 급등락하거나 거래량이 크게 출렁이는 현상)의 여파를 소화했다.
전 세계적인 인공지능(AI) 및 반도체 공급망 재편 흐름에 발맞추어 화홍그레이스반도체(Hua Hong Grace Semiconductor) 같은 핵심 반도체 위탁생산(파운드리) 기업들이 주요 지수에 새롭게 편입되면서 관련 업종으로 자금이 유입되는 등 포트폴리오 재조정이 이루어졌다.
항셍지수 같은 벤치마크 지수에 화홍그레이스반도체 등이 새로 편입되면, 이 지수를 그대로 추종하는 대형 상장지수펀드(ETF)나 인덱스 펀드들은 규칙에 따라 해당 주식을 기계적으로 의무 매수해야 한다. 이로 인해 대규모 기관 자금이 해당 기업으로 자연스럽게 흘러 들어가게 된다.
전 세계적인 인공지능(AI) 인프라 확대와 반도체 공급망 재편 속에서, 지수 구성 종목 역시 기존 전통 산업 중심에서 반도체 위탁생산(파운드리) 같은 첨단 기술·공급망 핵심 기업 비중을 높이는 방향으로 자산 배분이 재편된다. 핵심 반도체 기업이 주요 지수에 입성하면서 시장 전체의 투자 심리가 반도체 소부장(소재·부품·장비) 및 연관 첨단 IT 업종으로 환기되었고, 투자자들도 포트폴리오 내 테크 섹터 비중을 상향 조정하는 계기가 되었다.

The Hang Seng Index (HSI) has absorbed the aftermath of the recent rebalancing of its constituent stocks and technology sector.
In line with global trends in artificial intelligence (AI) and the restructuring of semiconductor supply chains, key semiconductor foundry companies such as Hua Hong Grace Semiconductor have been newly included in major indices, leading to portfolio realignments and capital inflows into related sectors.
When companies like Hua Hong Grace Semiconductor are newly added to benchmark indices such as the Hang Seng Index, major exchange-traded funds (ETFs) or index funds that track the index are required by regulations to mechanically purchase the stock. This naturally causes large institutional funds to flow into these companies. Amid the global expansion of artificial intelligence (AI) infrastructure and the restructuring of semiconductor supply chains, asset allocation in index constituents is being reorganized to shift from a focus on traditional industries to an increased weighting of core companies in high-tech and supply chain sectors, such as semiconductor foundries. As key semiconductor companies entered major indices, overall market investment sentiment shifted toward semiconductor materials, components, and equipment (Sobujang) and related high-tech IT sectors, prompting investors to increase the weight of the tech sector in their portfolios.
