1. 농림수산보존국(AFCD), 개 주인 체포

농림수산보존국(AFCD)은 8월 18일, 지난 월요일 위엔롱에서 발생한 개 공격 사건과 관련하여 해당 개의 주인을 체포하고  문제의 개는 현재 농림수산보존국 동물 관리 센터에서 관찰 중이다.

농림수산보존국은 해당 개가 지난 7월 10일에도 다른 개 공격 사건으로 인해 압수되었다가 주인에게 인계된 적이 있다고 밝혔다.

당시 농림수산보존국은 주인에게 공공장소에서는 2미터를 넘지 않는 목줄을 사용하여 개를 안전하게 통제해야 한다고 경고했다.

농림수산보존국은 현재 위 두 건의 사건을 조사 중이며, 충분한 증거가 확보될 경우 기소할 예정이다. 모든 개 주인들에게 항상 개를 잘 통제할 것을 강조했다. 특히, 대형견은 다른 사람이나 동물에게 피해를 주거나 다치게 하지 않도록 목줄을 단단히 매어 관리해야 한다.

   2. 가상화폐 사기 

 홍콩 치안 및 법 집행 기관에서는 노년층을 노린 대형 가상화폐 사기 사건, 대규모 국제 마약 환적 적발, 소년범을 동원한 사채 조직 소탕 등 주요 범죄 및 안전 관련 수사 결과를 발표했다. 80대 노인은 가짜 '트러스트 월렛(Trust Wallet)' 앱 사기에 500만 홍콩달러 피해를 입었다.

경찰에 따르면 80세 은퇴 남성이 가짜 가상화폐 지갑 앱에 속아 500만 홍콩달러상당의 이더리움(Ethereum)을 편취당한 사건에 대해 수사에 착수하고 긴급 경보를 발령했다.

 피해자는 팝업 광고를 통해 '트러스트 월렛'으로 위장된 가짜 애플리케이션을 다운로드받았다. 사기 일당은 플랫폼 고객센터 직원을 사칭해 현금을 인출한 뒤 실물 환전소에서 가상화폐로 바꿔 지정된 지갑 주소로 송금하도록 유도한 후 자취를 감추었다.

 3. 몽콕 메이드 카페 업주, 14세 청소년 직원 성추행 혐의로 체포

몽콕(Mong Kok) 소재 한 메이드 카페의 35세 남성 업주가 14세 여성 알바생을 성추행 및 신체 접촉한 혐의로 경찰에 체포되었다.

경찰 조사 결과, 해당 업주는 피해 직원의 근무 첫날부터 다수의 부적절한 신체 접촉을 시도한 것으로 파악되었다.

4. 홍콩 세관, 환적 대마초 적발 (10명 체포)

 홍콩 세관(Hong Kong Customs)이 한 달간 전개한 마약 단속 작전을 통해 240kg(시가 5,600만 홍콩달러 상당)의 고품질 대마초 봉오리를 압수하고 조직원 10명을 체포했다고 발표했다.

해당 마약은 동남아시아에서 출발해 유럽 및 아프리카로 가던 중장비 상업 화물 속에 숨겨져 있었으며, 국제 밀매 조직이 홍콩의 물류망을 환적 거점으로 악용하려 한 정황이 확인되었다.

5. 쿤통 바이패스 불법 레이싱 단속 

드론 및 암행 순찰차 투입

 심야 불법 심야 레이싱 및 폭주 행위에 대한 시민 민원이 잇따르자, 경찰이 관통 바이패스(Kwun Tong Bypass) 일대에 암행 순찰차("Stealth Cars")와 고성능 드론을 집중 투입했다.

단속 결과 위험 운전 혐의 등으로 10명이 현장에서 체포되었으며 관련 차량 다수가 압류 조치되었다.
