미국증시

미국 증시는 상승 마감했으며, S&P 500 지수는 사상 최고치를 경신했다. 미국의 생산자물가지수(PPI)는 지난달 예상치 못하게 전월 대비 변동이 없었고, 전년 동기 대비 증가율도 4.7%로 하락하여 연준의 9월 금리 인상 기대감을 더욱 약화시켰다.

다우존스 산업평균지수는 장 초반 280포인트 가까이 상승하며 54,049포인트까지 치솟았다가 53,839포인트로 마감하며 69포인트(0.1%) 이상 상승, 3일 연속 하락세를 마감했다.

S&P 500 지수는 장중 및 종가 모두 사상 최고치를 경신하며 사상 처음으로 7,800포인트를 돌파했습니다. 장중 최고 7,816포인트까지 오른 후 7,798포인트로 마감하며 50포인트(0.65%) 상승, 2일 연속 상승세를 이어갔다.

나스닥 종합지수 역시 2일 연속 상승하며 214포인트(0.8%) 이상 상승한 26,803포인트로 마감, 2개월 만에 최고 종가를 기록했다.

메모리 칩 관련 주식이 급등하며 SK하이닉스와 웨스턴디지털은 7% 이상, 샌디스크는 거의 14% 상승했습니다. 레노버의 예상을 뛰어넘는 분기 실적 발표는 동종 업계 기업들의 주가 상승을 견인했으며, 델과 HP는 각각 2% 이상, 약 7% 상승했다.

인적 자원 소프트웨어 기업 워크데이는 사모펀드 실버 레이크가 인수 제안에 나섰다는 보도에 힘입어 거의 18% 급등했습니다. 또한, 빌 애크먼의 헤지펀드가 넷플릭스 주식을 자사주 매입했다는 소식도 주가 상승을 부추겼다.

The US stock market closed higher, with the S&P 500 index hitting a new all-time high. The US Producer Price Index (PPI) unexpectedly remained unchanged from the previous month, and the year-over-year growth rate fell to 4.7%, further weakening expectations for a Federal Reserve interest rate hike in September.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average surged nearly 280 points early in the session to reach 54,049 points before closing at 53,839 points, up more than 69 points (0.1%) and ending a three-day losing streak.

The S&P 500 index broke through the 7,800-point mark for the first time in history, setting new all-time highs both during the session and at the close. After rising to an intraday high of 7,816 points, it closed at 7,798 points, up 50 points (0.65%) and continuing its upward trend for the second consecutive day.

Memory chip-related stocks surged, with SK Hynix and Western Digital rising more than 7% and SanDisk up nearly 14%. Lenovo’s announcement of better-than-expected quarterly earnings drove stock price gains among peers, while Dell and HP rose more than 2% and approximately 7%, respectively.

Human resources software company Workday surged nearly 18% following reports that private equity firm Silver Lake had made a takeover offer. Additionally, news that Bill Ackman’s hedge fund had bought back Netflix shares also fueled the stock price rise.
