에드워드 유드 경 기념(SEYM) 기금 위원회는 ) 2027/28학년도 SEYM 해외 펠로우십 및 장학금과 장애 학생을 위한 SEYM 해외 펠로우십 및 장학금 신청 접수를 시작한다고 발표했다.
신청 마감일은 2026년 9월 4일이다.
본 펠로우십 및 장학금은 우수한 학생들이 해외 유수 기관에서 학업을 이어갈 수 있도록 장려하기 위해 마련되었다. 수상자는 홍콩에 기여하고자 하는 열망을 갖고 졸업 후 지역 사회에 환원할 준비가 되어 있어야 한다.
본 펠로우십은 연구 또는 교과 과정을 통한 대학원 학위 취득을 위한 해외 유학을 지원한다. 장학금의 최대 지원 금액은 연간 30만 홍콩달러이며, 박사 과정의 경우 최대 3년, 석사 과정의 경우 최대 2년까지 지원된다.
학사 학위 취득을 위한 해외 유학 장학금의 경우, 최대 지원 금액은 연간 28만 홍콩달러이며, 최대 3년까지 지원된다.
지원자는 희망하는 교육기관의 모든 지원 절차 및 입학 요건을 충족해야 한다.
지원 관련 안내 사항은 근로가정·학생재정지원청(WFSFAA) 학생재정지원사무소 웹사이트에서 확인할 수 있다.

해외 펠로우십 및 장학금 최종 후보자는 홍콩에서 면접를 치른다. 1차 면접은 2026년 12월 또는 2027년 1월에 예정되어 있다. 적합하다고 판단되는 지원자는 2027년 1월 또는 2월에 최종 면접이 있다.
장애 학생 해외 펠로우십 및 장학금의 경우, 최종 후보자는 2027년 1월 또는 2월에 홍콩에서 면접에 초대된다.
Application for Overseas Fellowships and Scholarships

The Sir Edward Youde Memorial (SEYM) Foundation has announced the opening of applications for the SEYM Overseas Fellowships and Scholarships for the 2027/28 academic year, as well as for the SEYM Overseas Fellowships and Scholarships for Students with Disabilities.
The application deadline is September 4, 2026.
These fellowships and scholarships are designed to encourage outstanding students to continue their studies at prestigious institutions abroad. Recipients must possess a desire to contribute to Hong Kong and be prepared to give back to the community after graduation.
These fellowships support overseas study for the attainment of a postgraduate degree through research or coursework. The maximum scholarship amount is HKD 300,000 per year, with support provided for up to 3 years for PhD programs and up to 2 years for Master's programs. For overseas study scholarships for a bachelor's degree, the maximum support amount is HK$280,000 per year, with support provided for up to three years.
Applicants must meet all application procedures and admission requirements of their desired educational institution.
Information regarding the application process can be found on the website of the Working Families and Students Financial Assistance Authority (WFSFAA) Student Financial Assistance Office.

Final candidates for overseas fellowships and scholarships will undergo interviews in Hong Kong. The first round of interviews is scheduled for December 2026 or January 2027. Applicants deemed suitable will have a final interview in January or February 2027.
For the overseas fellowship and scholarship for students with disabilities, final candidates will be invited to an interview in Hong Kong in January or February 2027.
