보조 배터리에서 연기

어제 일요일 저녁, MTR 아일랜드 라인(Island Line) 열차가 쿼리베이역 인근을 지나던 중 한 승객의 보조배터리에서 연기가 발생해 승객들이 급히 자리를 피하는 소동이 벌어졌다.

오후 9시경 신고를 받고 소방대원들이 출동했으나, 현장에 도착했을 때는 이미 연기가 멈춘 상태였습니다. 부상자는 발생하지 않았으며 별도의 대피 조치도 필요하지 않았다.

당시 열차에 탑승했던 한 승객에 따르면 타이쿠(Tai Koo)역 인근에서 사건이 발생했다. 객차 내에 연기가 가득 차자 승객들은 코를 막은 채 반대 방향으로 이동했다. 열차가 쿼리베이역에 도착하자 MTR 직원이 조치를 취해 해당 보조배터리를 승강장으로 옮겼다. 

Smoke from a Power Bank

On Sunday evening, a commotion broke out on an MTR Island Line train near Quarry Bay Station when smoke began emitting from a passenger's power bank, causing others to hurriedly move away.

Firefighters were dispatched around 9:00 PM following a report, but the smoke had already stopped by the time they arrived. There were no injuries, and no evacuation was required.

According to a passenger on board, the incident occurred near Tai Koo Station. As the carriage filled with smoke, passengers covered their noses and moved toward the other end of the train. Upon arrival at Quarry Bay Station, MTR staff intervened and removed the power bank to the platform.
